I believe I met my technical skill requirements very well. At first I was nervous to work with Illustrator, simply because it was different from the usual software I use at home. Eventually, I became comfortable with the ins and outs of Illustrator and how to use the pen tool specifically. I actually enjoyed it! As you can see, the front of my business card design required really annoying line work with the pen tool. I managed it well and got my desired effect, which I
consider a win.

I think I have exceeded my design process rating because all of my designs for both of my projects so far have been original and very functional with their topic. I had fun making something I could call my own design. I have great pride with what I made. My theme for the infographic was very much in my style, also incorporating the art movement of POP art. I used a basic brain template and re-designed it so it fit more with the rest of the theme: this gave it a "hand-drawn" feel to it.

In both of my projects, I did a good job of keeping to my own slightly minimalist style, while including several famous styles such as POP Art and Art Deco. Specifically, my business card design not only adheres to typical line-work found in Art Deco pieces, but it also included colors that are common in these (gold, purples, white).
Bright colors are a must in POP art design, which is exactly what I used.

I think I met my requirements well. I feel confident going into the professional projects that I can work well with a client. I know I can take direction well and I am good at interpreting information. My information is clearly present in the infographic, which I'm sure will be essential in succeeding for my client's project.

My infographic shows my progress as an artist in graphic design because it is a great compilation of skills that I have gained. Linework, contrast, negative space, and text is effectively used. I am proud of the progress I have made. I effectively picked and chose what information needed to be eye-catching, and took steps to encourage their "pop" appearance

I think I have exceeded the requirements of the contract because I have made both projects mean something to me. Most importantly, my infographic was made with the impact of increasing awareness of the importance of bilingualism, and I took the time to create an actual survey and ask the community on how they view it. I was very surprised with my results and I appreciated the time people took to help me get the information. As a bilingual myself, I made sure that a similar audience could relate and be grateful that there is someone who cares about really similar things. Culture is something anyone can relate to, and I managed to narrow the field so these students/staff could feel as if the poster was directed at themselves.

I think I deserve an A. I'm not at all insisting that I don't have room for improvement. In fact, I think that my ability to look back and analyze my work propels me to be a better student. Studying my own work critically over a span of days even helped me gain a new perspective every time I opened my projects. With my infographic project, I consciously tried to make it as relatable and attractive as possible, even to people who are monolinguals. If this project were hung up in school, it would genuinely make a difference and the effect would be worth it. Even though it was much more time consuming and technically demanding, I did make the infographic from scratch, which was a whole mess I did not expect getting into. Clearly, it worked out! I honestly furthered my passion for language, and made an important poster. The fact that my work is versatile and is appealing to such a wide audience makes me ecstatic.
