Technical Skill: 2
I give myself a two in technical skill because I am super proud of my progress. I was not very comfortable using Illustrator when I started Graphic design and now I can do so many more things. I believe I can accomplish what I set out to do efficiently, and I consider that a major victory.
Creative Process: 2
My creative process has improved heavily. I have gotten used to taking the time to write down my ideas so I do not forget them. I actually carry my sketchbook around with me most of the time because I usually get random spurts of imagination and I have to sketch them down before they vanish into thin air.
Design Influence: 2
My design style is influenced by so many things, and over these past weeks, it has developed even more. Art movements like Art Deco and Art Noveau are huge inspirations for me, and I have effectively implemented my personal style into the professional projects and still make them successfully cohesive.
Career Readiness: 2
My conduct in class is completely fine, in fact I find that I have been able to cooperate with my classmates effectively to finish my work. I am so happy with how I have bonded with my classmates, and I have gotten very useful advice because of it. I have started to make a schedule to follow and it has helped me stay on task. I could always stand to improve but I feel that I am on a very good track.
This is my final for my GSA poster. Doing this had so much meaning, especially because I wanted it to be something I was proud to hang up and say it represented my community. I have learned to organize my time better so I could put more effort into my works. In this piece, I used the pathfinder tool. As I was not super familiar with the functions of the pathfinder tool, it was a great learning experience. Compared to how I used to avoid doing pen tool-heavy designs, I am so proud of how I tackled this assignment. Not only did I appreciate my work, but the GSA is very happy with the designs.
My blogs are coming along very nicely! I find it much easier to write about what I am doing in class when I have an organized idea of what I am planning to get done. I also improved my sketching strategies, so my ideas are developed much more clearly
